My name is Shawn Robertson. I am a certified consulting hypnotist who works with people suffering with Phobias, specific fears, and anxiety. My clients are normal people, who happen to have very specific, irrational fears.
I came to hypnosis out my own struggles with fear and anxiety. I thought I had the strangest fear in the world, but “strange fears” are ridiculously common, as I found out and aren’t strange at all.
People feel embarrassed or stupid for having irrational fears, but it is not something anyone consciously controls. There is quite a rational reason these irrational fears come about, and it is nothing to be ashamed of or hide.
Phobias are usually created in one instant of heightened emotion, usually when you were a child. Your unconscious mind perceived something as dangerous, and it has been trying to protect you from that thing ever since.
Most phobia “cures” attempt to distract or fool your unconscious mind into doing something it feels is terribly dangerous. It doesn’t want to let you down or open you up to danger. It is too smart for that.
The solution is not to fight the very thing that has kept you alive this long, but to have a gentle talk with it, and show it that it can still keep you safe, without the crazy reaction.

Every person’s situation is different, and our sessions will be taylored to what you need and want
You don’t have to change everything in the first session (but you can). We will have follow-ups to make sure everything is going according to plan.
If you are nervous about a Zoom call, I can walk you through that too. That used to be my personal phobia.
You are in control the whole time. It only works if we work together. You are always aware and can ask questions or open your eyes any time. You actually gain control of yourself, maybe for the first time in a long while.
We’re not digging things up unless you want to. It is not necessary to dig up trauma to get over a phobia. But if a trauma is bothering you, we can gently take away its power if that is what you want to do.
If you have a phobia, you have already been hypnotized for a long time. What we would be doing is un-hypnotising you. You don’t go deep into trance or anything like that. I simply ask you to imagine certain things. It is up to you to do it or not. I’m not asking you to forget your name or bark like a dog.
Contrary to hilarious movies like Office Space, it is impossible to get stuck in a trance. In the rare cases where people have stayed in a trance longer than usualy, they always say afterwards that they were feeling so good they just didn’t want it stop.
Losing a phobia is like losing an aching baby tooth. You don’t change because you lose a tooth. You are still you, just without that one annoying pain. You are much more than your phobia, I can assure you!
Once you lose an illogical fear, it is hard to get it back. You might remember what you had to imagine to have that fear, but that would be a conscious choice.
Session 1. You set goals, learn powerful techniques to use on your own, and experience guided hypnosis and related techniques to make rapid changes. I expect you to make huge progress in the session. The session lasts 60-90 minutes.
Session 2. We review the changes that have taken place since the first session, and make any adjustments necessary to consolidate and solidify the changes. This session also lasts from 60-90 minutes.
Session 3. Review your ongoing progress, and set higher goals (60-90 minutes).
Session 4. Lock in all of the changes and prepare to keep them for life (60-90 minutes)
Price: 650 CHF ($690 US), 325 CHF ($340 US) for Students. Payment through credit card, TWINT, or bank transfer ahead of the first session. For in-person sessions, cash at the time of the session is also acceptable.
